Meet Ms. Mullen!

Welcome Kindergartners and Families!

I am delighted to meet you soon and am looking forward to an amazing year together!  This is my 14th year of teaching, and I believe it's truly the most exciting job in the entire world!  My favorite grade to teach is...you guessed it...KINDERGARTEN!  

Some of the things we do in kindergarten are:

~play and laugh together,

~read lots of interesting and funny books,

~write and illustrate stories,

~paint and draw,

~build, create, and experiment!

 

When I was in kindergarten (a long time ago), I lived far away in a country called Okinawa.  I had my own backpack, crayons, and had a special water bottle that was red and black.  When I was older, I went to college at WSU (go Cougs!), and later went to graduate school at Seattle University (go Hawks!).  I have 4 big kids of my own and live in the liquid sunshine of Seattle!

My wish for you this magical Kindergarten year is that you LOVE school as much as I do!  Island Park Elementary School is a place of joy and discovery and a place people love to be!
